Fil-3 is working to obtain the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification, the key mark requested by the biggest brands in the industry.
The GRS aims to favor the reduction of resource consumption and to increase the quality of recycled products, seeking a perfect balance between rigor and practicality, both for the purchase and for the final consumers.
During the verification process different factors are analyzed:
- Composition
- maintenance
- Restrictions (chemicals)
- Compliance with environmental criteria
The GRS is promoted by the textile exchange, one of the most important non-profit organizations that promote responsible and sustainable development at an international level.
It will be a long process, but it will finally focus on the importance of recycling production at every juncture in the production chain.
